On this tour, you’ll sample different tacos, visit popular eateries, and discover the stories, ingredients, and traditions behind one of Mexico’s most iconic foods. The taco is, in many ways, Mexico’s fast food: a delicious and affordable meal that’s part of everyday city life. It’s something you can eat when you’re in a hurry, when you want something tasty, or simply when you’re craving it. And behind something that seems so simple lies a rich history.

We’ll sample different tacos and pair the experience with a traditional Mexican drink. We’ll also talk about the sauces, stews, meats, and, of course, the tortilla. Because a tortilla is more than just a tortilla. Behind it lie thousands of years of history, ancient techniques for preparing corn, and generations of people who have transformed all of that into something deeply Mexican.

Here, we’re not looking for a taco reimagined for tourists or a gourmet version of this popular dish. We want you to experience the taco that’s part of everyday life in the city: simple, hearty, and full of flavor. And yes—you’re going to eat a lot, so come hungry!
