One of Cologne's most treasured pastimes is its beer, the Kölsch, a special variety that can only be brewed in Cologne. On this tour, you’ll take a journey through Cologne’s Old Town and get to know some of the breweries that perfected the Kölsch and the culture that has grown around it over the years.
Kölsch is no doubt the lifeblood of Cologne as much as the Rhein River. On our beer tour through the Altstadt, we’ll visit some of Cologne’s Iconic Brauhauses, get to know about the history of the waiters who serve the Kölsch, the glasses that it comes in, the local rules about Kölsch, and give you insights and tips that you won’t find elsewhere all while tasting the best Kölsch you can find in the city.
Along the way, you'll learn what makes the Kölsch so unique, and why it is the best beer in the region. You’ll hear the stories that helped make Kölsch what it is today and experience a typical night out in Cologne while you're at it!

Siamo arrivati a Colonia nel primo pomeriggio e siamo riusciti a prenotare all'ultimo minuto. Mio marito è rimasto molto soddisfatto del tour, della degustazione e delle informazioni presentate. Eravamo un gruppo di 9 persone (5 partecipanti effettivi al tour e altri 4 collegati con la guida). È stata una bella esperienza avere con noi tante persone del posto che hanno condiviso le loro conoscenze. Raccomanderei sicuramente questo tour. La nostra guida turistica era competente, facile da capire e divertente. Da notare: abbiamo prenotato tramite Freetour.com. Hanno preso un deposito con la prenotazione ma poi si aspettavano che pagassimo in contanti per il resto. Questa informazione non ci è stata fornita in anticipo. La mancia alla guida turistica per questo tour a pagamento era prevista proprio come per i tour gratuiti. Durante il tour si ricevono tre birre da 3 euro e si paga di tasca propria per eventuali acquisti aggiuntivi.

Nella descrizione si legge che il tour della birra Kolsch introduce a singoli birrifici. Questo ci ha colto di sorpresa, dato che non ne abbiamo visitato nessuno. Tuttavia, sono stati menzionati nella spiegazione in un pub. Abbiamo visitato quattro pub. Per il resto un bel tour.
