Las murallas del Alcázar han sido testigo de múltiples acontecimientos en siglos de historia, como la preparación de la Guerra de Granada por los Reyes Católicos y su primer encuentro con Cristóbal Colón. Posteriormente, fue adaptado para tener múltiples usos, entre ellos sede de la Inquisición española y prisión.
Sus hermosos jardines son el lugar preferido por propios y extraños para celebrar bodas civiles en la ciudad. Además, en el interior de esta fortaleza se pueden encontrar enormes mosaicos romanos e incluso baños árabes construidos por Alfonso XI para su amante Leonor de Guzmán.

The visit was great, we had a great time with the guide Claudia who explained everything wonderfully.
The weather was not very nice, in the end it ended up raining in the gardens so we could not enjoy them. We will be back and hopefully with better weather, less people and we will be looking for you!!!
Alcazar in Cordoba is a must see place. We have booked a tour for it and our guide Lydia was amazing, she offered some really interesting details on the subject, told us fascinating stories about the history of the place and remained in good spirit despite the heat. The gardens are exceptionally breathtaking, so happy we did this!
