What you will do
We cover all the major events: The Nazi occupation that turned the Czechoslovak First Republic, one of Europe’s most progressive and industrialized states, into a nightmare, the life and suffering during Nazi rule, the Czech uprising, the fate of the German minority, the Communist coup and letdown, the euphoria of the Prague Spring, the trauma of the Warsaw Pact invasion, the grey years of Normalization, the persecution of the Plastic People of the Universe, Charta 77, Václav Havel and the eclectic bunch of dissidents swept to power by the Velvet Revolution of 1989 and, for now, returned the government to the people.
What to expect
This tour provides a moving, fascinating and entertaining account of the major events of the times from the perspective of Prague and the Czech people. The city has fascinating stories to tell about the clashes of the great movements of the century and the power of the powerless.

Una visita obligada en Praga. Tuvimos un maravilloso recorrido a pie de 2,5 horas con el guía Tony. La ciudad tiene una historia sustancial e importante de la 2 ª Guerra Mundial con un montón de hitos importantes para tomar y ver. En tan poco tiempo Tony hizo un magnífico trabajo explicando con entusiasmo y conocimiento la historia de la República Checa durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial y el comunismo. Uno de los aspectos más destacados de mi viaje a Praga.

Realmente un gran tour con Tony, lleno de contenido absorbente, diferentes puntos de vista que no siempre obtienes de académicos y libros especializados. Un tema complicado muy bien presentado y una buena relación calidad-precio

Decepciona que no se incluyera el refugio antiaéreo subterráneo durante el régimen comunista. Sería mucho más eficaz si se acelerara el ritmo y se incluyera más información sobre las consecuencias del comunismo en la República Checa.
