The Medina of Tunis, heritage of UNESCO, offers visitors monuments and sights out of the ordinary.
The inscribed property covers an area of approximately 280 ha and comprises all the features of an Arabo-Muslim city. It is composed of the central medina (8th c) and suburbs to the North and South (13th c). There are some 700 historic monuments, distributed in 7 areas, among which the most remarkable are the Zitouna Mosque, the Kasbah Mosque, the Youssef Dey Mosque, Bab Jedid Gate, Bab Bhar Gate, the Souq el-Attarine, Souq ech-Chaouachia, the Tourbet el Bey, noble houses such as Dar Lasram, Dar El Medina, the Madrasa Es- Slimanya, the El Attarine military barracks and the Zaouia of Sidi Ben Arous.
With its suks, its urban fabric, its residential quarters, monuments and gates, this ensemble constitutes a prototype among the best conserved in the Islamic world.

Saber is a very welcoming guide from the very first moment. His organisation for the meeting point was very good. He’s very friendly, professional and he knows everything about Tunisia. He explained us a lot Of interesting things about the Medina, its history, its development, its structure and much more. His Italian is perfect and his Spanish as well. He is well-known in the Medina, everyone said hi to him. He didn’t trick us into some designs shop (as many guides worldwide do) but he was discrete at giving us many suggestions. If you visit Tunisi, you can’t skip a visit with Saber!
Thanks to Saber for this guided tour. He was very friendly and it was fascinating to hear his explanations about the medina! However, I would have added a visit to a mosque and some information about the Muslim religion to the tour to provide a better understanding.

Fantastic tour of the medina between the historical and the anecdotal. Saber, very knowledgeable, put the history of Tunis into context well and took us to places not always available to the traveler's eye. The time passed quickly and the company was enjoyable. Thanks again Saber!
