Elvas Walking Tour
Visão Geral do Tour
The best way to know a site is with a local guide, and better with a licensed one!
The experience of our guides, their kind, and friendly way of transmitting their knowledge make this tour the perfect experience to get to know the historic center of Elvas.
A visit through the history of the largest bastioned fortification in the world, since its foundation in the 9th century, by Muslims, through the history of the Jews who lived here and the rich churches that were built over the centuries in this garrison border town.
The tour is not just about monuments and history, it is mainly about the people who lived inside these walls, the curious facts that took place here, the local traditions.
