Ayoub has no experience as a tour guide. He took us all the way to a shopping mall outside the Medina and then suggested we take a taxi back to start the tour. He doesn’t know the city’s history or recognize landmarks (like the Rif Movie Theater), and we got lost several times, so we decided to end the tour as soon as we reached a recognizable spot. He tries hard, but he’s not a tour guide.
