It is a very interesting tour. They pick you up at the hotel and drop you off at the border. You just cross the pass, but don't worry, it's easy. Then another driver picks you up in Tajikistan and shows you the city and its history. Our guide was Hussein, who amazed us with his extensive knowledge and his kindness and politeness. We saw the fortress, the museum, the mausoleum, the market...at the end, they drop you off again at the border and you do the reverse route. Very interesting.
