Itinerary
At the appointed time we will meet at the Haro Tourist Office and begin the guided tour.
To begin with, we will go back to the origins of Haro as we enter the streets of the old town. One of the most famous areas of the town is La Herradura, a place for tapas par excellence and where we will be able to see the most important points of Haro, such as the Plaza de la Paz, the Plaza de San Martín or the church of Santo Tomás.
While we explore the old town of Haro, we will tell you how the city was in the past, specifically from the 10th century to the 19th century, when it enjoyed a unique splendor. You will be surprised by its anecdotes and history.
Also, during the guided tour, we will reveal the reasons why Haro has been called the capital of Rioja. Did you know that Haro has the largest concentration of century-old wineries in the world? What makes the wine of this region special? Its wines are one of its great prides!

Io e due miei amici abbiamo partecipato al tour a piedi del centro di Haro con Javier e ci è piaciuto tantissimo! Javier è gentile, generoso nel condividere le sue conoscenze e molto piacevole da ascoltare. Abbiamo tutti detto che avremmo voluto passare più tempo con lui. Consiglio vivamente questo tour a tutti!
Il tour e la guida erano buoni, interessanti. L'unica cosa da dire è che un freetour prepagato non è usuale. Personalmente mi sono sempre presentato agli appuntamenti, anzi alcuni sono stati cancellati, lasciandoci in sospeso quando avevamo già organizzato l'orario.
Javier è stato una guida eccellente durante la nostra visita a Haro. Ci ha spiegato la storia della capitale della Rioja in modo dettagliato e appassionato. Lo ingaggerò sicuramente di nuovo quando tornerò a Haro.
