Tokyo Edo Culture & Castle Garden Tour
Aperçu du circuit
Your guide will present you with an illustrated map of the city of Edo in the 1650s. We suppose that we are in 1650 on the illustrated map and that each participant is a diplomat of his or her country and has an important message to pass to the Shogun in person!
However, under the isolationist foreign policy since 1639, meeting the Shogun through official channels is quite difficult. The message is so important that, finally, each one decides to infiltrate Edo Castle.
With this walking tour, participants can learn about Edo Castle in advance of their dangerous operation.
With a government-licensed guide, you can gain a concrete understanding of "Shogun," "Emperor," "Samurai ruling class," "Ninja," "Edo inhabitants," and "Women of Edo Castle."
Let’s take a morning walk to take a little journey through time on foot!

Interesting tour about the history of the Edo period
Highly recommended.
Blanca was a wonderful guide for our Edo Castle tour in Tokyo. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging, and brought the history of the castle and the Edo period to life with fascinating stories and insights. She also made the tour easy to follow and was happy to answer all our questions. We really enjoyed learning about Tokyo’s history with Blanca and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an informative and enjoyable tour!
Blanca was lovely and a wonderful tourguide. She speaks fluent English and French. Her explanations were thorough and informative. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn more about Japanese history!
Our tour guide Blanca gave a lot of information. She was very passionate about it, and we got a speed course in Japanese history. You need to listen carefully as she has a charming but pretty strong French accent when speaking English.
