Tour of Beijing: Great Wall, Forbidden City
& Tiananmen Square
Aperçu du circuit
In the morning, your guide will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to Tiananmen Square. Take a morning walk around the square and capture stunning photos of its iconic landmarks. Then, visit the 600-year-old Forbidden City, the largest and most well-preserved imperial palace complex of the Ming and Qing dynasties. Note: Since the Forbidden City is closed on Mondays, we will visit the Summer Palace instead of Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City if your travel date falls on a Monday.
After a 1.5-hour drive, arrive at the Mutianyu Great Wall. First, enjoy a buffet lunch of authentic Chinese dishes with soft drinks to prepare for your afternoon tour. Then avoid the crowds to hike and take in the best-preserved and most popular Mutianyu Great Wall for at least 2.5 hours. The round-way cable car ride or chairlift, and toboggan will be arranged for you.
To relieve your fatigue from the Great Wall hiking, we arrange for you a complimentary tea break for around 30 minutes before getting back. You will experience a Chinese tea ceremony to learn about traditional tea cultures. Finally, your guide and driver will transfer you back to downtown and drop you off at your hotel.

We had an amazing time and Rocky was an excellent tour guide! We got to see everything in a decent amount of time. It was very busy but Rocky was able to have us go to the smallest queue and even provided some helpful tips for getting into Tiananmen square.
Rocky did a great job. We learned a lot, see a lot. Lunch was a great choice.
From March 1-15 there is a national political congress. Everubody in China knows it. Why not advising participants that Tienanmen square is not available to visit and maybe change the itinerary adding a stop or reducing the cost. The cost of the tour does not include a meal neither the cable car to reach the great wall from the bottom. At the end of the day the overall quality for money was not reflecting my expectations. Good notes about the car service, the local guide and the less touristic side chosen.
