Private Tour in Messina with Delicious Granita
Tasting
Resumen del Tour
Messina, a gateway on the Strait, was remodelled many times during its history.
It's a city that fuses a unique character, modelled by the different cultures and traditions, with modernity.
Founded by the Greeks in the 8th century BC, the city was entirely destroyed by an earthquake in 1908.
Nowadays, this city shines because of its elegant, eclectic style and breathtaking views.
From the Town Hall square, we will reach the prestigious Catalans Church, the Royal Chapel of the Spanish kings in Sicily.
We will then walk towards the Cathedral and its sophisticated bell tower.
We will point at the best view in Messina: the Church of Montalto and the Sanctuary of Cristo Re from the Cathedral's square.
We will then move on to the Vittorio Emanuele Gallery, and the refined Post Office and Telegraph Palace.
We will end the tour with a tasting of the delicious Sicilian granita and brioche: fresh and perfect for the summer!
And I will tell you the story of this famous Sicilian sweet specialty!

We had a great tour with Valentina, she answered all of our questions and gave us tons of insight on the city, its origins, and its culture, and the granite at the end to top it off was wonderful! I really could not recommend this tour enough to start your visit in Messina as it covers all the main attractions and points you to many other interesting spots. Thank you Valentina!
