The Athens full-day tour starts by the Panathinaiko Stadium where the first Olympic Games took place in 1896. Proceed, passing by Zappeion and Temple of Olympian Zeus. Continue passing by Athens Trilogy, Hadrian’s Arc, Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown soldier, Schliemann’s House, Old Parliament, Constitution Square, and finally visit the impressive Acropolis.
Continue with a pleasant short walk passing by Herodion and Dionysos Theater, in order to visit the Acropolis museum. Avoid and skip the lines of the new museum. Main attractions such as votives, statues from archaic period, Caryatids, and of course the Parthenon hall with the metopes, the pediments and the frieze will impress you.
After lunch depart for a wonderful drive along the scenic coastal road which affords a splendid view of the Saronic Gulf, passing through some of Athens most beautiful suburbs to Cape Sounion. The Cape's Temple of Poseidon is perched on a rocky hilltop overlooking the sea. The view across the Aegean is magnificent with one of the most breathtaking panoramic views in the world. The Temple of Poseidon was built in 44 B.C., and many of its original Doric columns are still standing.

Es ist eine wunderbare Reise.
Die Tour war ausgezeichnet und der Reiseleiter auch. Als ich jedoch von der Akropolis-Tour zurückkam, wurde mir gesagt, dass ich für den Eintritt zu allen Sehenswürdigkeiten 90 Euro extra bezahlen musste. Damit beliefen sich die Gesamtkosten der Tour auf 254 Euro. Die E-Mail mit der Abschlusszahlung zeigte, dass mein Restbetrag nach der Anzahlung 136 Euro betrug. Bei 254 Euro hätte ich ein anderes Unternehmen gewählt. Ich mag es nicht, ausgenutzt zu werden, und ich treffe meine eigenen Entscheidungen. Ich mag es nicht, wenn jemand sie für mich trifft.
