Tour-Übersicht
The Free Walker Pub Crawl is a guided cultural experience through Lapa, one of Rio de Janeiro’s most bohemian neighborhoods and the historic heart of the city’s nightlife. More than just a bar crawl, this tour invites you to discover the city’s music, history, and vibrant culture alongside local guides who are passionate about Rio.
Throughout the evening, you’ll wander through historic streets and traditional venues, where live music, dance, and authentic local culture come together naturally. Along the way, our guides share stories that connect the city’s past and present, while tastings of locally produced cachaças showcase one of Brazil’s most iconic traditions.
The experience brings together travelers from around the world in a welcoming atmosphere, where meaningful conversations and genuine connections arise naturally. More than just a night of fun, it’s an opportunity to experience the true spirit of Rio through music, stories, culture, and shared moments that celebrate community, diversity, and human connection.

The bar tour is a great experience if you want to enjoy a truly local Carioca night out. Catarina is an excellent host. Very cheerful, energetic, and clearly passionate about what she does. Her language skills are also impressive, as she translates and explains everything in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. One thing to keep in mind is that even if you select a specific language when booking, the groups are combined. This means you may be with people who speak only English, only Spanish, or only Portuguese. If you speak only one language, it can make interacting and socializing with the rest of the group somewhat difficult. The bars we visited all featured samba music, and the tour eventually ended at a venue with more international music. Overall, it is a good option if you want to experience a very local and authentic Carioca night. The different cachaça shots were also very tasty. I would recommend this tour especially to people who speak more than one language and want to experience a night out focused on Brazilian music and local culture.
