Directions
To arrive from Montevideo throughout the year we recommend checking the Montevideo Bus Terminal site: www.trescruces.com.uy. Your destination is Cabo Polonio, there are buses daily. The company is usually “Rutas del Sol”.
If you can’t find buses there, you can take a bus to Castillos and from there take a bus to Cabo Polonio. It is recommended calling the Castillos terminal (0059844759780).
If you are coming from Brasil, it is recommended to take the bus at Castillos.
Once you arrive at the Cabo Polonio terminal, you have two options:
- Buy tickets at the 4x4 trucks that run the 7km of dunes and leave you in front of the hostel (50 meters from the sea), it’s the last stop of the truck.
- The other option is to walk (we highly recommend taking little luggage in this case). Once you arrive at the center of Cabo Polonio, take a look at the sea, the beach and enjoy this wonderful place full of good energy! ☺
