The guesthouse was formerly the “millionaires’ mansion” arranged for the best and most experienced miners, built in 1946. In 1999, Barrack 102 became Gjestehuset 102, currently hosting the happiest visitors in town. Gjestehuset 102 has 61 beds (7 singles, 19 doubles and 4 four-person rooms). We do not offer a luxury stay, but a 5-star experience in the Arctic!
Gjestehuset 102 is a great spot to start your adventure for trips both summer and winter since we are surrounded by 2 glaciers, mountains, coal mines, fiords and wildlife!

Directions

In getting to the hostel from the airport, you can take a shuttle bus. This costs 75,- NOK one way, cheaper when you get the two-way ticket. Gjestehuset 102 is the last stop. Taxis are also available for around 150,- NOK one way.

Policies

Cancellation fees for individual booking (less than 10 persons)
Cancellation made 14 days prior to arrival is refunded 100 percent.
Cancellation made 13 days or fewer prior to arrival is not refunded.

Only written cancellation is valid.

All bank transfers, other financial transaction fees, booking and cancellation fees will be deducted from refunds.

No refunds will be given due to flight cancellation, lack of a valid driver’s license, lack of passport or illness. We recommend our customers to have travel insurance.
