When entering, you immediately realize this is not your standard hostel- experience. Housed in a monumental building, Cocomama offers unique and individually-styled dorms and private rooms, luxurious cocomat mattresses and feather duvets.
For those in search for some privacy, Cocomama offers double private rooms with en-suite bathrooms. The family rooms accommodates three, and in the spacious 2-bed dorms, you can either go private or share – the choice is yours. For those on a budget, or just looking to share with some other COCO- tibers, the 4-bed and 6-bed dorms are the answer.
The team goes out of their way to make your stay as memorable as possible. You might actually experience that unfamiliar feeling of fitting right in. The entire thing might make you start wondering whether the team is made out of star dust.
One thing is for sure, at Cocomama, you’ll not be on your own. The activity calendar is packed, there’s a movie corner and private garden, the communal space is inviting and perfect to make new friends (or to hang out) and there are weekly family-style dinners — inclusive of the occasional spaghetti-fest.
The communal kitchen with left-over shelves top it all and we didn’t even speak about their private canal boat (during the summer months), or Joop — the house cat and definitely the most photographed resident of this place. Free cuddle therapy included in the roomrate.
