Description

LOL Hostel is located in the 6th district of Budapest - St. Stephen’s Basilica, the Hungarian State Opera, the Danube, Parliament and Deák Ferenc tér are all walking distance from our doorstep. We are situated in a renovated 100 year old, non residential building in the heart of the city, which means that our only neighbour is the bar downstairs and it is a perfect base for anyone looking to enjoy all the nightlife and culture this city has to offer!
You can pretty much walk everywhere from the hostel, but if you get tired, Budapest has an excellent public transport system and we’re 5 minutes from the Oktogon stop of trams 4 and 6 which take you everywhere in the city and runs 24 hours a day. We’re also right next to the Arany János utca metro stop of M3 (blue line).
We offer private rooms and 4/6/10 bed female and mixed dorms, each of them with a different theme and decorations, so everyone can find their favourite.
We have everything you need: free WiFi, maps, city guides, guest computer, table tennis, fully equipped kitchen, drinks and snacks at reception, free coffee and tea all day, hair dryers, towels…we provide lockers in all the rooms, plus all our beds are equipped with power outlets and reading lamps.
Our reception is open 24 hours a day and is operated by Hungarian and international staff, who all have travel experience and know Budapest like the back of their hands and will help you make the most of your stay in Budapest :)

Directions

Budapest International Airport: bus 200E (located just outside of the arrivals terminal) takes you to 'Kőbánya-Kispest' where you should change to the metro (blue line, M3) and get off at 'Arany János utca'. Just cross the street and continue walking on 'Ó utca', our hostel is located at number 14.
Keleti railway station: take the red metro line (M2, direction: Déli pályaudvar) and get off at 'Deák Ferenc tér'. From there you can either change to M3 and get off at 'Arany János utca'. Just cross the street and continue walking on 'Ó utca', our hostel is located at number 14.
-take the green metro line (M4, direction: Kelenföldi pályaudvar) to 'Kálvin tér', change to M3 (direction: Újpest Központ) and get off at 'Arany János utca'. Just cross the street and continue walking on 'Ó utca', our hostel is located at number 14.
Nyugati railway station: take the blue metro (M3, direction: Kőbánya-Kispest) to 'Arany János utca' (1stop). After exiting the metro just cross the street and continue walking on 'Ó utca', our hostel is located at number 14.
Népliget international bus station:
- take the blue metro (M3, direction: Újpest Központ), get off at 'Arany János utca'. After exiting the metro just cross the street and continue walking on 'Ó utca', our hostel is located at number 14.

You can buy the tickets from a machine at the bus/tram/metro stops, using your credit card or Hungarian Forints (single ticket=350HUF).

Policies

CANCELLATION POLICY: 24 hours before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged for the first night of your stay.

CHECK IN: New arrivals can check into their rooms from 2pm. Guests may arrive earlier and leave their luggage at the hostel but access to rooms will not be granted until check in time.

CHECK OUT: Departing guests must remove all their belongings from their room, return the keys and check out by 11am. If you need to store your luggage on the day of your departure please arrange it with reception. We offer free luggage storage until 11pm.

Payment upon arrival by cash or credit card (we accept all major credit/debit cards except American Express).
VAT included.
Local tourist tax (4% of your booking) excluded, payable upon arrival.
No curfew.
Non smoking.
