'Looming' in Estonian means 'Creation or artwork' - that's why everything is in constant change here.
Looming Hostel offers a new artistic style of accommodation in Tartu, close to the train station - cosy, warm and clean guestrooms are all created by different artists - everything we use for decoration is 99 % reused! We prefer natural materials, small ecological footprint, creativity and fun! In the beginning of 2016, we received the Green Key eco-label and became a proud member of Estonian Social Enterprise Network.
Our guestrooms are located on the attic floor of an old art noveau building completed in the year 1910. The building is also home to a second-hand boutique and a roller-skate rink/music venue. In the nearby community center Aparaaditehas, there is a printing museum, art exhibitions, a restaurant, a bakery, little shops and several other businesses.
There is a kitchen for self-catering, with all the necessary equipment, free WiFi everywhere, free parking, comfortable reception area, sofas, books and games and a cozy sunterrace.
Looming is an animal-friendly hostel, so bring your pets with you!
