We found out at the start that we wouldn't be going on the cable car or up to the .millennium cross as apparently the cable car was out of order This was extremely disappointing. Instead we were driven round some mountain roads, saw a few goats and churches before visiting a traditional tourist village. All a complete waste of time. The trip to Makta canyon was good though I expected that the boat trip would be free as the cable car ride that we never got was included in the cost of the ticket. Instead we had to pay. The only positive was our guide Darko who was knowledgeable and entertaining throughout. The company should not be selling tickets knowing that they can't deliver
It was a very nice experience to explore the near surrounding of Skopje with Sonja, our tourguide. She was very friendly, helpful and competent. The tour is definitely recommended!
Wow, just wow! The tour itinerary included so many interesting and breathtaking places. The walk out to the canyon offered awesome views of the canyon etc. Our tour, Jimmy was excellent throughout. We was very attentive to all the different to the needs of group which was appreciated by the various guests from elderly, to pregnant ladies- he was conscious of them all.As a teacher myself, I appreciated his enthusiastic and passionate delivery of the content of the tour. He made a real effort to make a connection with everyone- which I appreciated as a solo traveller. if I wasn't leaving tomorrow , I would have joined his other tour to Kosovo.
It was very crowded and touristy in Matka Canyon, but thanks in part to Sonja’s helpful and clear guidance, we had a wonderful day.
I thoroughly enjoyed my trip to the Matka Canyon and Millenium Cross by cable car. Vlad was very knowledgeable abd entertaining tour guide. During our trip he presented a lot of interesting and helpful information about Skopje, Macedonian history, culture and original wedding traditions. He even surprused us with his knowledge about botany, geology and fauna. The tour was very well organized. Thank you Vlad for a day full of fun and learning!
