Excursion To The Mills Of Zaanse Schans
Tour Overview
There is no better way to enjoy the afternoon in the Netherlands than knowing the Zaanse Schans windmills, the economic engine of the country between the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries, as the Dutch took advantage of the force of the wind to grind the spices they brought from the colonies, make oils, mustards, etc.
We will enter a mill dedicated to spices to know its operation and a workshop of clogs, where they will show us the method of the manufacture of this traditional Dutch footwear.
We will also visit a cheese factory where we can try a variety of Dutch cheeses and where they will explain the process of making these delicacies.
Of course, before returning to Amsterdam, we will enjoy free time to walk and take the best pictures.

Customer Reviews
This excursion is not worthwhile since this town is not worth the waiting time, it takes an hour and a half
Ana Maria very pleasant explaining everything, and very funny. Very complete and well explained tour. Very happy
The organization, knowing that the tunnel through which the shortcut to reach the mills has been closed for more than a month, has not made any changes in the organization, such as going by train instead of by bus. By not changing the organization, we have arrived at 16h and the mills close at 16.30, so we have not been able to make the visit as we would have liked, all in a hurry. Within the visit there are two activities that are done and we had to do without doing one of them because everything closes at 6 pm and there was no time. The truth is that on this side quite upset, because knowing this we have not been informed nor have they made us a discount. On the other hand, our guide was very good, a 10 out of 10, Ana.
The info provided by the guide was not very complete A lot of center and very touristic The person who made the cheese was not there and the guide who came with us explained it to us, and very badly, we did not see how it was done.... The site, by itself, is very nice, yes!
excellent tour, Irene is a very good guide and very attentive
