Explore the Aljafería, the Islamic jewel of Saragossa
Built in the 11th century by order of Al-Muqtadir III, king of the Saraqusta taifa, the Aljafería Palace was conceived as a place of pleasure and recreation. Known as the Palace of Joy, it is the northernmost Muslim palace in Europe, and its beauty continues to captivate all who visit it.
After the reconquest, the Aragonese kings transformed it into the seat of the court of the Kingdom of Aragon, preserving its original elegance. Later, the Catholic Monarchs enlarged its rooms, endowing it with Renaissance splendor.
Within its walls are hidden centuries of history: it was the seat of the Inquisition, military barracks and a symbol of resistance during the Napoleonic invasion.
During the visit you will visit emblematic places such as the Troubadour Tower, the Throne Room of Ferdinand the Catholic and the courtyards decorated with exquisite Mudejar ornamentation.

We really liked it
Everything was great—very enjoyable and interesting.
Much better than expected—the guide was fantastic. He made it really enjoyable; the tour ended up lasting almost two and a half hours. We loved it!
