Historic Glasgow: Self-Guided Exploration Game
Tour Overview
This is a self guided (without a guide) exploration game crafted by a passionate local storyteller and played through the academic district of Glasgow. You will explore 10 different locations while playing as a diplomatic evaluator investigating a planet's worth of evidence hidden in ancient ruins. At each location, you'll solve a real-world puzzle by searching for clues on monuments, graffiti, and facades. The route winds through the university area, blending academic history with local tales of forgotten experiments.
Starting from in front of the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, the stops are spaced an average of around 300m apart, with each location taking around 11 min to complete. The route also passes through Glasgow Botanic Gardens, Victoria Cross and University Memorial Chapel. At each location, you'll solve a challenge and receive instructions for the next chapter.
DISCLAIMER: You will explore by yourself using the Questo app on your phone. No physical guide or stranger groups will be involved. The full route covers approximately 3 km (1.9 mi) and takes around 1:45h to complete. You can play it any day, at any time. Languages available: EN.
