Mdina, Tales of the Silent City
Tour Overview
This interesting walk starts in one of the unique fortified cities in the world.
In 2 hours, I will take you to walk through the city of silence where the Maltese nobility lived, surrounded by elegance and luxury.
Following its labyrinthine streets that keep stories of mysteries and conflicts between its medieval buildings, we reach Villegaugnon Street, where in the past lived the landowning families of Malta. Decorated with the typically closed balconies and their doors with the curious callers, many of these palaces are now museums and gift shops.
Leaving through the Greek Gate, we'll pass through the moat that was never filled with water and head to the suburbs of Rabat. Here, we will make a short stop to taste the authentic pastizzi, made of puff pastry and filled with requeson or purée of peas, accompanied by a local beer or coffee are the most delicious and cheap way to eat in Malta.
For logistical reasons, it is essential to book the Tour at least 24 hours in advance. Thank you!

Customer Reviews
The guide did not show up. We waited and he didn't come and didn't say anything even though we sent him a message. Fatal
They moved up the time even though we accepted. The guide was 20 minutes late. Do not expect any drinks included. The meeting point is not the one indicated, neither the duration, 1 hour and a half. And the guide, although very nice, didn't tell us anything we hadn't read in the guide book. So with the feeling of having paid for something that is not worth it.
Not only did they cancel my tour supposedly because it was full, after confirming my booking in writing and taking my money ! I couldn't cancel because their site would not let me .And now they are asking me how the tour went? How worse can they be.
The tour had to be moved to an hour earlier than we had booked, which was not as convenient but which we agreed to. The guide was then 15minutes late to start the tour, which we understood to be a 2hour tour. However when the tour guide did turn up she rushed through Mdina and Malta history and was a bit confusing. We walked around and she did tell us some stuff but the whole tour was over after about only half an hour. Then we were encouraged to get cake at the cafe and that was the end of the tour. The payment structure was a bit confusing too with some being taken upon booking, some being taken by bank transfer and some in cash so that should have been clearer. Overall, we feel it was overpriced for what we received.
Julia was an excellent guide. Lots of interesting facts she shared with us and she has a good sense of humour which made the tour very enjoyable. I would recommend it.
