Tour Overview

Discover the charm of Kobe Port on this relaxed 1.5-hour private walking tour, designed for travelers who want to experience the beauty and history of the waterfront while receiving friendly local guidance.

Starting at Kobe Harborland, you'll stroll through a lively seaside area filled with shops, open plazas, and harbor views. We continue along the promenade toward Meriken Park, home to iconic landmarks like the Kobe Port Tower, the Kobe Maritime Museum, and public art installations such as the BE KOBE sign.

Along the way, your guide will share stories of Kobe’s history from its opening as an international port in the 19th century to the 1995 Great Hanshin Earthquake and its impressive recovery. The tour is designed for easy walking, allowing time for photos, questions, and cultural discussions.

This is part of a volunteer-led initiative to help foreign visitors feel more comfortable in Japan by offering not just sightseeing, but also local insight, travel tips, and support.
