Tour Overview

This walking tour through the heart of Rome, where ancient history, legends, and lively local culture intertwine at every corner. We begin at the iconic Piazza del Colosseo, in the shadow of the world’s most famous amphitheater, before making our way along Via dei Fori Imperiali, a grand avenue lined with the ruins of Rome’s imperial past. Along the way, your guide will share not only the historical facts, but also the legends and spicy stories about the powerful—and sometimes scandalous—leaders who shaped ancient Rome.

Our path continues to Piazza Venezia, the bustling crossroads of the city, and onward to the impressive Foro di Traiano, a masterpiece of Roman engineering and architecture. We’ll then explore the charming Piazza della Madonna dei Monti, a lively square beloved by locals, before wandering the picturesque streets of Rione Monti, one of Rome’s oldest and most character-filled neighborhoods, aka suburra.

To end our experience on a sparkling note, our final stop will be a welcoming local bar, where you’ll learn how to prepare one of Italy’s most iconic aperitivi—the classic Spritz. Salute, and enjoy the journey!
