Tour Overview

Meet your guide at the Cassa Armonica bandstand in the Villa Comunale. Walk along the seafront facing Mount Vesuvius, through the lanes of the old town and on to the historic springs, such as the Acqua della Madonna. Along the way your guide shares stories and local tips on shops and places worth coming back to.

Every tour includes at least one local experience: a traditional terracotta workshop, a pizzeria where you watch the dough and the oven at work, or a bakery where Stabian biscuits are made. Experiences vary with availability; tastings are included only when stated.

3-hour tour (starts at 17:00): old town, seafront and one local experience in the late-afternoon light.

5-hour tour (starts at 08:30): the full town route, then uphill through the San Marco district to the Stabiae excavations, with Roman villas and free entry, plus two local experiences. The walk to the excavations is uphill and suits people used to walking.

The route may change with weather, opening times and the group's pace.
