“Bloody Tales within the Castle Walls” in Budapest is a dark and atmospheric tour set in Buda Castle. It brings the castle’s history to life through gripping stories of war, political intrigue, and local legends. The guide’s storytelling is engaging and well-paced, making the past feel vivid as you explore the historic courtyards and corridors. The setting adds a strong sense of atmosphere, especially with the castle’s dramatic views and moody evening light. While some stories are intense, they remain thoughtful and grounded in history. Overall, it’s a compelling and memorable experience for anyone interested in the darker side of Budapest’s past.
Our guide presented well, and answered all questions. Being up on the castle by night and listening to legends about creatures and human beings is a brilliant way to get to know Hungary. I fully recommend the tour! We arrived a bit too late, but our guide spend some extra 10 minutes on us and retold us the stories we've missed. Very nice!
I will try to sound as gentle as possible. This was probably one of the weirdest, least useful and stupidest tours I ever witnessed. It's probably my mistake, but from the title I expected to hear some stories about unsolved crimes, serial killers, mob stuff, war stories and such. I did not expect to hear stories about vampires. I learned nothing. Fictional beings we all know do not exist. Just... ridicilous.
The guided was extremely entertaining and an amazing narrator. Loved the whole experience at Buda catle district.
Our guide was very new but did an amazing job. He was very funny, we learnt a lot and will come home with lots of interesting spooky stories. We definitely recommend it!
