Tour Overview

This is a self-guided exploration game crafted by a passionate local storyteller and played outdoors, in the real world. You will explore Athens across 11 iconic locations while playing the detective in a gold robbery filled with historical facts. At each location, you'll be solving a real-world puzzle by searching for clues on various elements such as monuments, graffiti, and facades. The game is mainly focused around the city center of Athens and includes many locally known facts that simply cannot be found in a guidebook or a browser search.

Starting from the historic city center, the stops are spaced an average of around 250m apart, with each location taking around 15 min to complete. The route also passes through Acropolis Museum, The Plaka Neighbourhood, Psirri Neighbourhood, and Monastiraki. At every stop, the app unlocks a new chapter and guides people to the next location.
