Tour Overview

This is a self-guided exploration game crafted by a passionate local storyteller and played along the waterways of Hamburg. You will explore 12 different locations while playing as a shipwrecked explorer searching for a lost crew and a mysterious island. At each location, you'll solve a real-world puzzle by searching for clues on monuments, graffiti, and facades. It stays around the old town, mixing real history with neighborhood myths only locals share. Perfect for history lovers, adventure seekers and curious travelers.

Starting from Jungfernstieg, the stops are spaced an average of around 350m apart, with each location taking around 12 min to complete. The route also passes through Elbphilarmonie, Niederbaumbrucke and Cap San Diego. At each location, you'll solve a challenge and receive instructions for the next chapter.

DISCLAIMER: You will explore by yourself using the Questo app on your phone. No physical guide or stranger groups will be involved. The full route covers approximately 4.4 km (2.7 mi) and takes around 2:30h to complete. You can play it any day, at any time. Languages available: EN, DE.
