Tour Overview

We will talk about the history of this space while strolling in the Botanical Garden, where we can see different plants, flowers and trees spread across the garden, including living walls, a small pond with gardens and some tropical animals, a butterfly house and more.

After this visit we can go to Parque de los Deseos and check the local life in this modern spaces.

This part of the city is really special because it was the real trigger from where the transformation of the city started from. It used to be slums and factories and now it is a hub of public spaces, buildings and transportation next to all kinds of developments that have turned this neighborhood into one that tourist love to visit but also one where you will see the local life and local people enjoying their own public spaces.

Located close to Universidad de Antioquía, the biggest local public university which has a beautiful campus with modern buildings and a vibrant college life, the construction of Parque Explora and Parque de los Deseos turned a part of the city that used to be marginalized into a favorite spot for locals and visitors to spend some time strolling with family or meeting a friend.
