Summer Palace (颐和园) is the largest and most complete existing royal garden, reputed as the royal garden museum. Located in Haidian district, about 15km from Beijing center, Summer Palace covers an area of 290 hectares.
It is an imperial garden, most completely reserved, with the richest landscapes and concentrated buildings. The Summer Palace was added to the world cultural heritage list in 1998.

The Tour with Roy Li, who speaks very good and understable English, was very well organised. Only a short walk (5 min) from the metro station was the entrance. He explained the Summer Palace and its history very well. Time went flying, couldn't believe it was the end. We can very much recommend this tour and especially this tour guide. We were 3 people.

We really loved the tour with Roy li. Roy is s great guide who has well prepared his tour with a lot of fun historical facts and interesting information. This made the tour and history come alive for us. The summer palace is beautiful and having guide around helps understand more the story around the place, Roy was also a good guide as he had a lot of suggestions on what to do after our trip with him ended. All the ideas he gave were really thoughtful like climbing to the top of the pagoda and had a serene beautiful view. We loved our trip so much that we immediately organised another tour with him.
