Very interesting, with lots of background information you wouldn't normally get

My family and I really enjoyed the tour of the Rocinha favela. Our guide, Patrick, was very attentive and always explained everything in detail, which made the experience very enriching. The tour was very relaxed and comfortable, allowing us to get to know the community in an authentic way and without rushing. Without a doubt, a highly recommended experience.

Rocinha is well worth the visit, and our guide, Patrick, was excellent. Good clear communication with tour organizer. Transportation to and from Rocinha was provided via car. It was a small group on the day we went, and we walked around at a fair pace, with frequent stops for explanations from our guide, scenic viewpoints, and points of interest. The residents were all very kind and accommodating to us visitors, and I guess groups like us who politely intrude in their lives are somewhat normalized. I felt as safe with the guided walk as I would in downtown Rio on my own. Loved the capoeira demonstration. I will note that some of the walk required climbing steep stairs and uneven winding paths, though nothing too arduous. Thanks!

We booked the tour for Wednesday but asked if we could join last moment the Tuesday tour. He told us he could only tell us in the morning, if this is fine for us. So at 8am he informed us that two cancelled and we would be able to join, which we did. Our Guide Patrick was great, he told us a lot of stories and explained everything. We did enjoy the tour a lot, I can highly recommend it to everyone! :)

I am very satisfied with this tour. The guide did super well and told us at all times what we could do and not do depending on where we were. Thanks to his explanations we were able to see how the day to day life of the people who lived there was and understand the context that surrounds them.
