Visoko Pyramids Discovery Tour
Tour Overview
Visoko is a small, charming town located in central Bosnia. It was an early center of the Bosnian medieval state and the site where the first Bosnian king, Tvrtko I, was crowned. Visoko lies on the Bosna River and, in modern history, it is remembered for the Bosnian Pyramids and Semir Osmanagić, who initiated this exploratory project.
The pyramid trip lasts around 3–4 hours, and the departure time is flexible. The drive to Visoko takes about 30 minutes, during which the tour guide will provide you with basic information about the city, its history, and the pyramids.
There are two main places to visit on this tour. Visočica is a hill overlooking the town of Visoko. Semir Osmanagić claims that Visočica and several surrounding hills conceal pyramids. The first stop is at the Ravne Tunnels beneath Visočica, guided by a specialized tour guide. After that, we head to see the stone blocks on Visočica Hill.
Keep in mind that the entrance fees (for the Bosnian Pyramid of Sun /5€ per person/ & Underground Tunnel Ravne /10€ for adults/) are not included. You'll need a local currency since they don't accept cards.
