Historic Buenos Aires: Self-Guided Exploration Game
Tour Overview
This is a self-guided adventure crafted by a local storyteller and played outdoors, in the real world. You will explore Buenos Aires across 14 iconic locations while following a wartime spy mission through forgotten docks. At each location, you'll be solving a real-world puzzle by searching for clues on various elements such as monuments, graffiti, and facades. The game is mainly focused around the city center of Buenos Aires and includes many locally known facts that simply cannot be found in a guidebook or a browser search.
Starting from the historic city center, the stops are spaced an average of around 250m apart, with each location taking around 7 min to complete. The route also passes through San Ignacio de Loyola Church, La Piramide de Mayo, Casa Rosada, and La Catedral Metropolitana. At every stop, you will unlock a new chapter and get directions for the next location.
DISCLAIMER: You will explore by yourself using the Questo app on your phone. The game is available in English, Portuguese and Spanish. No physical guide and no strangers will be involved. The full route covers approximately 3.3 km and takes around 1h 33min to complete. You can play it any day, at any time.
