There is plenty to choose from in Barnacles! Our dorms rooms range from 4 bed – 12 bed in size. We also have private twin and double rooms available. All our rooms are Ensuite so you have that extra comfort during your stay. Double glazed windows will silence the hustle and bustle of the city, and each bed has their own individual lights for your convenience as well.

Our rooms are each named after one of the famous Galway City Tribes. Look out for medieval features on our building! Barnacles hostel provides you with clean linen and top quality mattresses to ensure you get a good rest.

Directions

To get to the hostel from either the Bus & Train Station (same location) or from the private Coach Station:

Walk diagonally across Eyre Square
Turn left onto Williamsgate Street and continue straight down Shop Street

At the Kings Head Bar, keep left and walk down High Street onto Quay Street
Our hostel is situated on the right, directly opposite the Quays Bar!

This property has a 1 day cancellation policy.
Failure to cancel within this time will result in a cancellation charge equal to the first night of your stay, unless otherwise stated.

Useful things to know:
- Check in is 3 pm, check out is 10.30 am
- No curfew, you can come and go as you please, our reception is open 24 hours
- Please note that guests under the age of 16 years must book private accommodation, only staying with people in their party
- If there are 6 or more in your party, you are considered a Group. We will require a fully refundable €30 deposit per person as A Group Noise and Damage Deposit.
